Export Control Organisation (ECO) is the UK’s licensing authority responsible for essing and processing export control licences for so-called “strategic” goods. A wide range of items fall under Export Control Legislation including so-called dual-use goods (such as nuclear, chemical or communications goods), torture goods, radioactive sources, as well as military items (such as firearms and ammunition).Companies looking to export are advised to contact the ECO for advice and if necessary apply for a licence.
