I’ve been watching, reading and researching about import export for months now, but for some reason I’m still lost. I just need some advice on where to start. I just need one person to really explain to me what this business is all about. Please help, I’m desperate. Thank you.
What it’s all about? You sell goods to foreign countries made in the USA and buy goods from foreign countries to sell in the USA. It would take days to go through a complete explanation. Sorry

I want to start a business of export so i think i should get an mba in supply chain management first and then do a job to learn about the management of products so it would get me some experience so what do you think is it a good idea or not.
First you must know what type of product you want to export example rice, leather, pottery etc. You must choose the shipping company, container size and storage fee in the overseas country. You must have another business partner that buy and take care of the receiving shipment once it get there. This is just the basic, work in shipping company first and start your own later.

Well im into Ladies Footwears business pls can anyone explain me how to start exporting and i know a licencse is required how to get that and wht are the docs required for that..Im from mumbai pls any experience person let me know the details..
Based on product, import licence may be required. To my knowledge, your product does not need import Licence.
Of course, for import / export of any goods out of India, one needs to have importer exporter code (IEC). You have to approach local office of Director General of Foreign Trade and submit application along with some basic documents. Link for application format and instructions for filing given below:
